NOTE:
The waiting list teams will be allowed to present their Business plans if any of the above short listed teams fail to present theirs’ on the final day. Hence they are requested to keep their presentations ready.
PLEASE NOTE THAT A LOT OF IMPROVEMENTS CAN BE BROUGHT ABOUT IN THE FINANCIAL FIGURES AND MARKETING STRATEGIES OF THE ABOVE SELECTED ENTRIES. HENCE THE SHORTLISTED TEAMS ARE SINCERELY REQUESTED TO CONSULT THE EVENT CO – ORDINATORS IN ORDER TO MAKE THEIR VENTURES MORE PRACTICAL AND FEASIBLE.
1. Teams of upto four members are allowed.
2. B-plans involving environmental concern will be given preference.
Please note a clarification on this rule: The entries that take the environmental aspect into consideration will be awarded extra credits for e.g. allocating funds and investing in technology that minimizes your company’s environment footprint. It is not necessary that your plan involves environment -friendly business.
3. A contestant can submit more than one business plan. He/she, however, will have to register separately for each plan that he/she or his/her team submits.
ROUND 1 - SUBMISSION OF EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
An executive summary of not more than 2000 words to be submitted online which must necessarily include :
a. The Idea and its USP
b. Analysis of the Market – competitors, competitive edges, target market, marketing strategy
c. Financial Details – break even analysis, capital cost
d. Infrastructure and workforce requirements
e. The Exit Plan
Format specifications: Times New Roman, Size 12, single line spacing
The entries must be in .doc format
All entries to be mailed to literati09@gmail.com, with subject 'Ace Ventura'.
On the basis of the executive summaries, the top 10 teams will be short listed for round 2.
Last date for submission of executive summaries is 7th April, 2009 for non-NIT Kurukshetra teams. No more entries from NIT Kurukshetra students will be accepted. Submit your entries to aceventura.literati@gmail.com
Note- Before actually submitting your executive summaries, we'd suggest you to pitch your entries to our judges. That is, we encourage teams to discuss your ideas with judges and event coordinators before actually entering the contest. The event coordinators will be helping them to research and also to work on only the best of their million ideas. So, don't hesitate in discussing your ideas over e-mails and asking how to prepare for the real contest. This is being done to help inexperienced teams and also to raise the level of submissions.
ROUND 2 - PRESENTATION OF B- PLAN
The presentation should be in power point.
Each team will be given 10 minutes to present their plan followed by a 2 minute interaction with judges and the audience.
Your presentation will be judged by eminent personalities and venture capitalists from the corporate world.
Teams are also required to prepare a detailed report.
Teams may be penalized for exceeding presentation limit.
Presentation and Report must include above mentioned points
Please note that the decision of the judges and the organizers will be final and binding. Your B – Plan should represent your original work, plagiarism is highly discouraged. Your report should be written in your own words.
