MIXCRETE: Concrete Mix Design

“Shaken, but not stirred” goes the age old adage..

It’s simple. We ask you to make a concoction, one of specific ‘flavors’ of cement, sand, grit et al. You make them for us. And brownie points for making a rough and tough one which would stand through the sands of time. Don’t limit your mixing skills to martinis and cocktails. Come, expand your horizon.

Note: The first twenty teams to apply have been given a slot. Those teams who don't get a message from us, should assume that they couldn't be allotted a time slot.

Mixcrete Event Format

1. To design Concrete Mix with maximum strength limiting the cement usage to 5 kg only.

2. The event will be conducted in two stages. In the first stage, participating teams have to cast concrete cubes according to the above mentioned specifications.

3. One week from the cube casting stage, the strength of the various cubes will be measured and checked, which stands as the criteria for judgement.
