Kudos to all those discovering theories and their work!!! Now the time has come for more serious stuff, something different and something very unusual. Let’s admire people for things you have never imagined in your dreams.
If you are thinking this is some caricature of the Noble prizes then you are completely in the wrong direction dude!!! Obviously it is goofy research for the advancement of mankind because you can never be sure how useful the knowledge gained from such researches can be. The line dividing the geniuses and goofballs are blurring all the time.
Without further ado, we welcome you to the event which honours people for making others “Laugh before they think” ; not because laughter is the medicine but more so it gives more time for a person to think twice before he/she says something under the pretext of having thought just for once.
LONG LIVE IGNOBLE!!!
AIM: Tickle the judge’s funny bone so much that he has a fracture.
Methods to do so: (Some suggested topics)
• Water is an intelligent liquid.
• Design of an alarm clock that starts running as it rings.
• Why woodpeckers don’t get a headache?
• Extraction of vanilla flavour from cow dung.
• The Five Second Rule: Food that fell on the ground can be safely eaten as long as it is picked up within five seconds.
• Chewing gum is the road to become the next Einstein.
• The heaviest metal on earth ‘ADMINISTRATIUM’.
• The Gunk on your car.
• The effect of country music on Suicide.
• Black Holes fulfil all the technical requirements for the location of HELL.
You can present any other topic but it should follow the above stated AIM.
RULES:
• 4 members per team.
• You need to submit a paper which is hilarious but has correct scientific information. Pseudo-Scientific will also do.
• The short listing shall be done on the basis of an abstract of the topic to be presented.
• Abstract should be limited to 400 words and it should give an appropriate idea of what the topic of presentation is all about and what shall be the frame of the presentation.
• The abstract should be mailed to ignoble.literati10@gmail.com latest by 23rd morning 10 a.m...
• The subject of the mail is to be kept as “IGNOBLE”.
• The selected entries shall be informed within a day or two after the final day of submission and thereafter a detailed report of the presentation has to be mailed to the same ID latest by Jan 25, 2010.
• You should trust the Coordinators' judgement on understanding the scientific principles as well as the sense of humour, involved in your paper.
• Judges’ decision shall be final and binding.
