Since its inception in 1963, NIT Kurukshetra has been a centre of excellence for technical education, mirroring timeless traditions of wisdom, knowledge and principles endowed upon us by the land of the ‘Bhagvad Geeta’. It is this doctrine that guides us in all our pursuits.

LITERATI, the annual technical symposium, is an embodiment of this philosophy. Through the various events and competitions, we intend to inculcate the very spirit of rational thinking, methodical approach and application of ideas. LITERATI, conceived in 1994, is an amalgamation of the essence of the various engineering disciplines represented by their respective technical societies, namely Mechanical Engg (Mechsoc), Electrical Engg (Electroreck), Electronics and Comm Engg( Microbus),Civil Engg (Infrastructure) and Computer Engg (Technobyte).

In 2010, LITERATI continues its exploration into various opportunities in the world of modern engineering, appreciating the fact that imagination has no limits.
