Problem Statement:
Mr. Rohit is well known diamond businessman of his city Agra.
He has a big rectangular size ancestral land in the city.
He wants to open a banquet hall on this land as a side-business.
The city is developing by leaps and bounds and he felt that there is good demand for beautiful banquet halls.
Mr. Rohit is looking out for a good architect, and he approaches you for the design of his new banquet hall.
Land Specifications:
Rectangular land of dimensions 200*150m
Location Agra
Essential requirements:
The banquet hall has 2 storeys building.
Open area for party lawn of capacity 1000 persons and parking.
The banquet hall should have party function hall of seating capacity 400 persons along with stage.
The banquet hall should also have a small party hall of capacity 100 persons.
The banquet hall should contain open as well as closed area for kitchen.
The banquet hall should also have maximum number of rooms of different sizes for guests accommodation.
The banquet hall should include a big store room to store catering and tent materials.
The Banquet hall should contain at least two stair cases and one manager office.
Only 50% of the land can be used as built up area.
Judging Criteria:
Proper use of land and orientation of the design.
Proper decoration of garden and lawns.
Approach, creativity and originality of the design solution.
Use appropriate symbols of architecture for notation of things.
Dimensions used for various parts of banquet hall.
Participants can also take any valid assumption related to design but must be clearly stated and justified.
The participants are required to draw the PLAN (top view) of both the storey separately.

- The PLAN should be drawn on a single ED sheet.
- Use only pencils to draw all plan (colors not allowed).
- The participants are also required to come for the Question& Answer session during LITERATI10 as per schedule.
