The suggested topics for the paper presentation are:

- Structural Optimization Techniques
- Use of Geosynthetics and Geotextiles in soil and base stabilization
- Environmental Modeling techniques and processes
- Water Resources Management-Case study of a specific area
- Carbon Capture and Sequestration Techniques
- Applications of GIS in Civil Engineering
Students can also present topics related to civil engineering other than these.
- The short listing shall be done on the basis of an abstract of the topic to be presented.
- Abstract should be limited to 300 words and it should give an appropriate idea of what the topic of presentation is all about and what shall be the frame of the presentation.
- The abstract should be mailed to infra.nitkkr@gmail.com latest by 2359 hrs, January 18, 2010.
- The subject of the mail is to be kept as “Abstract for Civiera”.
- The selected entries shall be informed within a day or two after the final day of submission and thereafter a detailed report of the presentation in IEEE format has to be mailed to the same ID latest by Jan 22, 2010.

- The number of pages must not exceed 10 including the cover page.
- Three hard copies of the report should also be submitted to the coordinators 3 hrs before the presentation.
