It’s been quite a long time since we read or heard our last fairy tale. Whether they be ARABIAN NIGHTS or Cindrella or snow-white they are always amusing to small children. Let’s get back to those wonderful childhood days once again! Once upon a time in the kingdom of Sultanpur lived a beautiful princess. The prince of Seelampur was deeply in love with this elegant lady. But one dark day left all nights gloomy for the prince when the cruel hands of destiny snatched his dear princess from him. He prayed hard and starved for months together to get his princess back. And then one night a divine voice from the dark sky roared:
Now this is what your “Prince Robot” has to do to save his darling princess. He needs to cross safely the following five stages along with collecting the gems which will be tennis balls of diameter 40 mm.
Stage1- Earth
The robot needs to cross various ditches, mountains and other earthen hurdles and locate and collect the gem (Diameter = 40 mm ball) and move ahead to the second stage. The Ball will be located at any arbitrary point.
Stage 2- Space
In this stage the robot will have to cross a narrow lane lined by rods on both the sides(as used in skiing) along with picking up the second gem from an arbitrary point so as to get ahead to the third stage.
Stage 3- Water
In this stage the robot will have to cross about 10-15 cm deep water(the depth is variable) for some distance, collect the third gem and get ahead. There are different other objects floating around; touching or hitting them should be prohibited.
Stage 4- Fire
Here, the robot needs to travel along a path surrounded by fire on both sides and get through it safely with the collected gem hidden in the area.
Stage 5- Air
This is the last and final stage to be crossed so as to give life to the princess. The robot will have to climb up an inclined and jump through a ring hanging in air and landing on to another inclined platform. Gem is located at the end of the second incline. Collect all five gems to revive your princess. Take all the gems to the final destination-the temple.
After the Prince Robot presents the five gems to the Lord in the temple, the mission shall be successful and the prince and princess would again be together to live their life happily ever after.
- The robot shall not be of size more than 25 x 20 x 20 cm.(At the start).
- Any type of IC engine is not allowed.
- External power (A.C.) will be provided at start point only.
- Gems are kept on a pole of height 10cm except for water stage where the height of pole is 2.5 cm above water level.
- The winner is decided based on the total time taken as well as the total score of the team.
- It would be allowed to repeat any one stage in case it wishes to improve its score in a particular stage, but the repetition is allowed only after it reaches the final destination with all 5 gem.

POINTS ALLOTMENT:
- 100 marks are provided in each stage for successfully completing all the objectives of the terrain. 100 marks is provided for collecting the ball. Marks are deducted if the prince robot hits the pole on which the gem is kept.
- 100 marks are provided if the stage is completed in less than equal to 35 seconds.
Each stage have marks distributed as follows:
Stage 1-300
Stage 2-400 (100 points for not touching any poles)
Stage 3-400 (100 marks for not touching any floating object)
Stage 4-400 (100 marks for completion of this stage with full body intact)
Stage 5-500 (100 marks foe successful landing and 100 marks again for successful jump through the ring)
- It would be allowed to skip any stage, the marks of which shall be taken as zero. Also, a time penalty of 65sec.
- The prince who revives the princess is given a bonus of 500 marks.
