The curious and perilous universe of hacking invades the holy soil of Kurukshetra for the first time, via Iris. The aspring Mitnicks and Schneiers are put through a a sequence of hurdles, each asking for a command over a different dark art. It promises to be fun and intrigue!
Event Details:
1. No sort of prior hacking knowledge is mandatory nor will it be advantage for the event.
2. Questions shall be largely based on aptitude and ability of teams to see real life situations from a hacker’s perspective.
3. All new terms and keywords shall be explained before being put to use in any question.
4. Some trivia based on very general information on hacking may also be asked.
5. Hacking is not just about breaking into systems unethically; all software tweaks, the geek-stuff you find in tech-magazines, any kind of arcane programming knowledge… pertain to hacking. So be prepared for something usual but unexpected!
6. The second and final round shall only be based on aptitude.

3. Round 1 will be an elimination round. Teams qualifying shall make it to the final round.
4. Each team shall be provided with one computer. Teams are advised to get laptops if possible.
5. All decisions of the event coordinators shall remain final and binding.

1. Each question will carry certain marks based on its difficulty.
2. Certain questions may have a time limit within which teams must answer it.
3. Teams may not be allowed to go review certain questions once they are answered.
4. Answers have to be given in the form of a file, whose specifications shall be mentioned.
5. Any form of tampering with the question “program” shall lead to instant disqualification.
